Endorphins Revival

Looking out the window
The sight of a dark grey sky
Emotions within me that i dont wish to show
Screaming inside, desiring a good cry

Like an autumn tree shedding its leaves
Like a snake leaving behind dead skin
Proving that one must stand by what he really believes
I was poked by your deadly, sharp pin

Flashbacks show fields of bright colours
Cat and mouse walking hand-in-hand
A bright edifice with sturdy pillars
Footprints of two, walking together on the damp sand

Now there is an unexplainable distance
Acres of land left desolate
Like a deer from its predator runs
You moved away and closed your gate

Left confused amidst questions not answered
A child lost in the chaotic carnival
This whole thing is completely absurd
Its time for an endorphins revival
