I can't say no.

Ask for a scoop of cloud,

Topped with sprinkled stars.

Ask for a slice of heaven,

peace, tranquility an no more wars.

Ask for gallons of tears of joy,

collected into the crescent.

Ask for the key to my heart,

ecstasy for a moment.

Ask for the moonlight to rain on you,

dew drops to dance on your palm.

Ask for the rainbow as a shelter,

gushing winds, so serene, so calm.

I'll place your desires at your feet,

nod my head at your every pine.

I can't say no, I can't even try,

your wants, all of a sudden, become all of mine!

Scenes of Peace

Boundless skies of burnished blue
Amber fields of bead-like grain
Morning grass with drops of dew
Mild showers of monsoon rain

Birds chirrup a melody unknown
Flying across land and over seas
School girls giggle in a shrill, loud tone
Flowers tell secrets to nector-desiring bees

Laying on green grass
Looking up at the sky
Watching a fueled plane pass
Swooping through the clouds so high

It's a beautiful life
It's colourful world
There's joy, there's sorrow
And always a better tomorrow.

These are a few of my favourite things

The little heart shapes in cheerful red
The comfort of a quilt on my warm bed
A dark, cloudy, rainy day
Those mushy songs that make me sway
Dim lighting to set the mood
A lavish dinner of Italian food
An evening with mates at the beach
Grabbing a bite of chocolate within my reach
Something to send me laughing for hours together
A gush of cool breeze to lighten the weather
Quotes and lines that make me think
Shades of blue resembling ink
Subtle lip-shine, perfumes an kohl
Chicken soup for the teenage soul
Phone calls, messaging and shopping for stuff
Photography and poetry- i just cant get enough!
Early morning breeze and afternoon naps
A refreshing swim of umpteen laps
Chains, drops, shiny nose rings
These are a few of my favourite things!!

Endorphins Revival

Looking out the window
The sight of a dark grey sky
Emotions within me that i dont wish to show
Screaming inside, desiring a good cry

Like an autumn tree shedding its leaves
Like a snake leaving behind dead skin
Proving that one must stand by what he really believes
I was poked by your deadly, sharp pin

Flashbacks show fields of bright colours
Cat and mouse walking hand-in-hand
A bright edifice with sturdy pillars
Footprints of two, walking together on the damp sand

Now there is an unexplainable distance
Acres of land left desolate
Like a deer from its predator runs
You moved away and closed your gate

Left confused amidst questions not answered
A child lost in the chaotic carnival
This whole thing is completely absurd
Its time for an endorphins revival

A walk through ecstasy

A walk on the dark and damp shore

Leaving behind footprints with each step she took

Forgetting all her stress, worries and the unfinished chore

Voices called out to her...she didnt even bother to look.

As the mild roaring sounds of the waves filled the air

The dying waves kissed her feet

The wind with a vigorous grace, blew through her hair

The subtle intensity of everything around made her heart skip a beat.

She moved along with a feminine grace

Humming her favourite tune as she did so

A content smile spread across her face

Bright, satisfied and ecstatic from head to toe.

One hour crush.

I saw him there, standing with a friend,
Clad in a kurta and jeans...quite a trend!
Smile on his face, mischief in those beautiful, brown eyes,
Something told me he isn't like the other guys.
I pushed my hair out of my face,
I was a mess. Just one of those days.
As his friend spoke to mine,
I checked him out...specimen was FINE. ;)
Wiping the ice cream stains off my cheek,
I tried my best not to look like a geek.
Those 10 seconds went by quite quickly,
Leaving me all shy and giggly.
An hour later, i felt like a fool.
Some stranger had made me drool.
Thankfully, got over it within an hour
I washed away the stupidity with a nice hot shower.

2 weeks later i saw him again.
The crush was back...what a pain!
Getting back home, i realised it was there no more
I didnt feel the same way i did before.
Ugh. What a confusing emotion this was
No sooner does it come than it does pass.
This, my friend explained to me is called a one hour crush,
When your heart beats fast and your blood does rush.
An hour or less is how long it sticks around
Comes like a flash and exits leaving no trace, no sound.
