Random pop-ups of crazy emotions

As the sky weeps like it has never wept before, the loud sounds of thick rain drops hitting against the roof, roads, gutters and walls, fill me with a tingle of unexplainable excitement. A black Santro Xing splashes through the ankle-level-flooded street, rushing towards its destination to seek shelter from the raging rain.

I want to go out and play in this rain.

I want to scream and shout to release all the bottled up emotions in me.

I want to run around like an escaped maniac.

I want to jump up and down like on a trampoline.

I want to bang on this keyboard to make bullet-like sounds.

I want to dance in the dirty puddles.

I want to roll around like a pig in the mud.

I want to exhaust myself and struggle for breath.

I want to rip and shred like a barbarian.

But, why?

The beauty of dawn

'ting ting ting ting', went my dad's cell phone at precisely 5:30AM, the time i had set the alarm to annoy me awake. Sleeping at 2:30 and waking up by 5:30 is not enough sleep for a growing young lady, such as myself. So, as any other lethargic soul would do, i clicked the snooze button and drove back into dreamland. Of course, the alarm being the personification of loyalty that it is, screeched into my ear exactly 5 minutes later. Due to the booming cacophony, my father awoke and began getting geared up for his morning excercise routine, as did i (after 10 more minutes of sleep, i.e).

Once the usual brushing, changing into my sweatpants etc was done with, i slipped into my old, torn and slightly tight (yet, a provider of such comfort) running shoes and began my stretches by the large, black gate leading into the streets.

Ah, what a sight the the morning sky was, fresh after sunrise. As the light dawn breeze started to swirl around like an elegant ballerina, i started my run. The smell of the early morning, the sight of petals and leaves shed from trees, the happy old people, out on their morning fitness regiment and the stray dogs growling, howling and pouncing on one another...entertainment throughout my jogging session!

After a jog of 3 kms(accurately estimated), my stamina waved a sluggish 'good-bye'. Since i was still slightly away from home, i began a brisk walk. Fortunately, my jogging route is through one of the most beautiful and well-maintained areas of our polluted and dirty city. The streets around the theosophical society, KFI school and the main road of Besant Avenue are possibly the most appealing roads of Chennai.

While walking, i observed 2 dogs (dogs are everywhere in the KFI areas) staring at each other. As i neared them, they began a violent chase behind one another. God only knows whether it was a chase for mating or fighting. One of the dogs ran towards me, almost knocking me over as the other dog howled its little-doggy-lungs out and ran about aimlessly. Somehow, they were gaining immense pleasure out of posing as obstacles to walkers and joggers passing by. Well, dogs should have fun too, right? right.

After getting home and finishing my abdomin and yoga excercises on the terrace, i went into the kitchen, jumped over the man cutting vegetables(a brahmin caterer who had come to cook for a religious ceremony at home, in respect of my late grandfather) and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge. I vowed to myself taht i would consume 5 such bottles of H2O everyday (health conscious, you see). So, with all the determination i could gather, i drank up the entire 1 litre of water in a gulp, did my bed and looked up jobs for myself with dad's help.

This is how my day began. Mornings are so cool!!

Beauty and her breath

As he gazed into her eyes, Dave experienced a certain unexplainable jitter he had never in his life felt before. That is when he realised that Sabrina was one in a million. There was something different about her that was beyond comparison! Everytime she flashed that warm smile of her's, Dave's heart did a little cartwheel. He could contain himself no more, as he had lost himself in her eyes and beam. He bent down on his knees, clasped his hands around her's and whispered the words

'Please, please Sabrina! Brush your teeth and switch over to a new brand of mascara!!'

The magic of words

She sat by the large french window, decorated with a long creeper growing around its frame, situated in an apt corner of the room, facing the sea. As she watched the waves rumbling into the shore, the polyphonic sound of "under the bridge" echoed around the room, drowning the sounds of the tender waves and soft sea breeze. She pulled herself out of her cozy bean-bag chair and stumbled toward the rich, ebony table on which her brand new, black and silver, nokia 5500 was placed. As her freshly manicured hand reached out to pick up the ringing mobile, her eyes caught the sight of a name she did not want to deal with at that moment. She immediately grabbed the phone off the desk and pressed the red button on the top, right corner of the keypad with tremendous vigour to reject the call. She stomped back towards the window, only to be interrupted by the tinkling sound of the message tone. She turned back towards the table to open the sms, just recieved. On opening the text message, she saw the same name appearing on top of the screen. A few seconds after reading the it, tears trickled down her cotton-soft cheeks. At once, she pressed the green "call" button at the top, left corner of the keypad and sobbed the words "I'm sorry!!".

Words can make a huge difference to any situation. Just make sure you use them properly and you really mean what you say.
