The Trouble With Love

You swayed in like soft breeze
I felt my heart flutter
I wished you'd grab me, my hand you'd seize
Lost myself, not a word could I utter

Staggered towards me, sat so near
We breathed in the same air
Your loving gaze turned to leer
Tenderly stroked my hair

Your fragrance so exhilarating
I feared myself that moment
Enamored of you, conscience debating
Urged temptation to relent

I forgot myself in your placid smile
Besotted by you, completely
My child like mind no longer sterile
Bearing flowers of love so sweetly

A part of me cried in pain
Leave me not without a kiss
Desiring a tryst just soon, again
Sudden desolation, gone my bliss
