Stories of success reach my ear
August tales of ones so near
I don't want to know, I don't want to hear
Nurturing my woes, igniting my fear
A fire so violent spreads within
Pangs of hatred, heating my skin
Forget my kind, forget my kin
All's a crime, all's a sin
Reclusive, shattered, distant I lie
Droplets of tears, a heavy sigh
Awaiting the fury to pass me by
Crying "No one is better than I!"
This destruction of inner peace
This malicious replacement for bygone ease
The vicious sparks of wistful decease
My mind blacks out and my soul flees
Come back to your senses, little one
Bask in the gay rays of the shining sun
As special as you, there are none
One battle lost, a thousand to be won!
